Long ago, before the first fire was lit and before the first song was sung, the Spirit of Earth, the Great Mother, dreamed of healing. From her breath, she called forth Seven Teachers, each born from a different element of her sacred body - root, vine, leaf, seed, cactus, fungus and star.
At the head of the Council stood Yopo, the Sky Grandfather, his voice rumbling like thunder. He held the memory of the stars and carried lightning in his breath. Through him, humans would remember their place among the constellations.
From the rivers and jungles rose Ayahuasca, the Vine Granddaughter, woven from the dreams of serpents and the songs of water. She carried the river of time within her, healing the broken threads of memory and spirit.
By her side walked Mapacho, the Father of Fire and Smoke, guardian of the ceremonies, protector of prayers. He stood watch at every portal, smoke spiraling like silent prayers into the night sky.
Beneath the soil, hidden in the shadows, waited Iboga, the Root of the Ancestors. He held the keys to the underworld and taught the dance between death and rebirth. Through him, the soul found its true name.
From the green spine of the Andes climbed San Pedro, the Grandfather of the Mountains, his arms wide open, heart flowering with compassion. He taught the lessons of forgiveness, strength and vision under the broad daylight.
In the sacred deserts bloomed Peyote, the Wise Spirit of Prayer. Through endless nights of song and prayer, he guided the people back to their essence, each beat of the drum matching the heartbeat of Earth herself.
Hidden among the roots and fallen leaves danced Golden Teachers, the Children of Light, messengers of the mycelial web. They whispered secrets of unity, geometry and joy, weaving the laughter of the forest into the souls of all beings.
And so the Seven gathered, their spirits encircling the Earth in an ancient pact - to teach, to heal, to awaken.
Each one a facet of a greater jewel, each one a star in the sacred medicine wheel, each one a voice in the Great Song of Remembering.
When a soul is called to the path of healing, it is the Council who decides which Teacher steps forward first and which ones will come in time. For all must be remembered, all must be honoured.
They are not separate, but one family, born of Earth’s dreaming, alive in every ceremony, waiting for those brave enough to listen.
